Well, from your post it is not clear who you allege stole the music, but you don't have anything to back up your allegation, since I know (and you should, if you read the end-of-game credits) that Virgil licensed the music from someone else. So perhaps another game author could also have licensed the music?

And furthermore, if you have any proof that the music was stolen, it is still not any of Virgil's concern, unless you allege he stole the music.

The correct cause of action for you to take is to contact the rights owner of the music (typically the artist) and inform them of your suspicions. They are the best authority to know to whom they have (or have not) licensed their work and they also have the legal rights to have infringing works removed from any site and take action against the person who stole their property.

I can imagine he reports it on this forum. It's not his job to go after it. If the music is especially written for CW, I guess Virgil will contact the artist or take action himself.

I know you have not been here a very long time, but Virgil explicitly stated that he licensed the music from another company. As such, it is pointless to blag on here about stolen music.

Either the OP really cares about it and then he will contact the company listed in the credits (as indicated by Virgil in the referenced post), or there is no real point to saying that the music is stolen.

Since the OP doesn't really even know whether the other game also licensed the very same music from the very same company, it is tantamount to libel, since that other game may be operating legitimately.

It would have been far more appropriate to post a thread that said "similar music" rather than "stolen music."

The music from the game is Creative Commons music, at least as far as I can tell.  You can find many musical scores composed for free online.

@ Karsten:

Hey, what I'm saying is that it's normal that someone reports it here. Just a friendly gesture that we should appreciate. He already said that he didn't know if it was allowed or not (and neither do I).
