*Shameless Plug*

Because this game is so awesome, I thought I'd try my hand at mapmaking.  This is my first map for Creeper World.

Any feedback is welcome (preferably constructive).  I'm especially conscious of anybody who comes up with a build order that made the map easier than "hard".

Thanks!   :)

So tell me. Is it the design objective that 80-90% of the towers you put on the map is destroyed in the first salvo? If it is, then why spend all your time placing them there?

I love Karsten's hatred of buildings getting destroyed early in the map.

It's called ambiance.  It's supposed to set the tone for the map.

Since I've received nothing but negative feedback on the map comment page, I'll see if I can get the map removed.  Sorry for being a bad creeper world map maker.  Thanks for trying it out though.

Fortunately there are lots of other good maps made by everyone else!

Cheers

Dont give up making maps. everyone likes different things. But do remember that sometimes simplicity is a good thing. Themes and stories seem to make good maps that people like as long as they arent too hard.

Play and look at this map by Sauffaus.

Look at how he placed all the object, all are reachable, all can be saved. The creeper is relentless, but beatable. This is the type of map I like to play and similar to many of the maps virgil makes and also those he released as custom maps.

Perhaps you should accept that if you make domsday maps, you will get a lot of negative comments, since people may feel upset when they try and save the stuff and it is all swamped. I know I did. I think I played your map after that and won, but the feeling I had was one of frustration.

As betadata said. Don't give up. Accept yuor destiny and if you like to make maps, don't listen to the critics. Or do and make different maps. Either way., do what makes you happiest.

Loved it! The start is almost like a movie, just watching it is great. Besides that it also looks very nice; you've definitely spent some time on it.

I don't understand people complaining when buildings get destroyed when this is obviously the intention. What's the difference with getting no buildings at all? Well, actually the difference is 5 seconds that you can use to your advantage. When you do so, you might be able to finish it in 2:16, like I did.

Jehoel, please let me know if you like to hear where some minor improvements can be made (indeed, to make it harder.... hahaha!  ;D)

Edit:

Don't! When you look again you'll see that people with some stamina have been able to finish it and liked it. For others who are not afraid of some air assaults I'd recommend Alwego's latest: Energy Problem, which can't be rushed (as far as I could see), but can definitely be finished.
