First off I love this map but no matter what do I can not connect the farthest totem in the top right any help would be much appreciated

it is possible. Try moving closer to the city and build some 'speed'.

It is definitely beatable. You don't even need the upgrade. Take a look at this pic if you want the solution:

That's how I did it as well (speed nodes) after finding out I chose the wrong upgrade. A couple of drones assisted me. It was fun, but I could have saved myself 15-20 minutes with the intended upgrade.

@ Kamron: what's the idea behind the two emitters on the left?
