That is absolutely hilarious.

Compared to the lowest amount on the table and the highest amount on the table, that number is laughable.

ctuna

Well, there weren't many female fighter pilots anywhere (my admittedly limited research has revealed none in the US, Britain or Germany) she was a Russian, and they didn't have the best records in the fighter business in WWII, and, they were up against Hartmann (best ever), who reportedly got most of his kills against the Russians, and, she might have gotten as many as 17, depending on your source.

Rather fitting that 4 of the 5 required some fancy flying. Especially the last.  ;D (Three fools mates this week.)
Power. Power! I must have more POWER!

It seems the Russians introduced emancipation a bit earlier than the western world. Not that strange with Karl Marx being one of the first to write about it.

When looking at the numbers I'm more surprised by the rather low amount of US kills (although I realize they got involved later on during both wars).

From what I've read there were two main factors leading to US aces having lower scores.

1. In WW2 the axis (esp. German) aces were in a seriously target rich environment against generally less capable aircraft. The US aces were in areas with fewer targets.

2. The US normally pulled experienced pilots out of combat after a relatively short tour of duty. (Promoted and/or assigned to train new pilots.)

Two more days!

When the #1 and #2 stay the same (ctuna & me), the #3 will pick next weeks theme. For now this is Katra, so you may want to start thinking about it.... :)

Okay, you win, I have homework to do. Bad excuse to tell the teacher I did not do my homework because I was trying to drop a couple seconds to get second place in a creeper world tournament. ;D Your just to good ctuna.  ;)

There we go, moved to second, I think...

Nice! When you keep that spot you can pick next weeks theme, as you should have 2 weeks ago. This will allow me to get rid of my bad feeling due to bypassing you! If anyone deserves this it's you with 3 third places and 2 second spots.

Edit: well, a third place (again!) also does the job.... ctuna indeed has become a very good player too!

Congrats, Fisherck, and, of course, Kees. I still seem to be missing either a general concept or some timimg/energy issues, when Kess can beat my best (lots of tries) times by almost 2 minutes on essentially 2 maps. I'm really curious to see Kees' solutions to the first and last of these.

Congrats to you as well with your second second place in a row. :) Funny, a tuna beats a fisher! ;)

Because the top 2 is the same as last week Fisherck will pick next weeks theme. I've already received his selection by PM and will publish it after posting the final results.

This week it was struggling for every second.... I'll post my solutions later on today. I should really try to remember to make screenshots when the rift opens.
