The 2nd map of the triology! Remembering: "Real Nightmare" is the 1st and "A New Dawn" is the 3rd one. Features: #PAC #CRPL: The big boss machine and the light-blue cannons were converted to shoot the creeper!; Defensive mines that explodes when destroyed; AC emmiters - all those 4 new units can be destroyed by the creeper. The more creeper under them, the more damage per tic they take. I'll soon start making the last map. Please leave your comment, and maybe I can make an epilogue after the 3rd map!

Fantastic map!  Put on my favorites and hopefully one of these days I'll have the energy to try to beat it again to drastically improve my time!  I had a huge struggle trying to figure out how to advance into the middle portion and now that I beat it, I think I have some better ideas of what to do.  Thanks for a truly enjoyable map.
Omnipotence doesn't mean the ability to do what is logically impossible. It's possible, therefore, for God to create beings with the kind of free will that can choose between good and evil, but he can't also force those creatures to choose good. If he forced their choice, it wouldn't be free.

how do you kill the big thing in the middle?,

i have destroyed the 4 towers at each corner and all other buildings

only this big building is left, and i cant destroy it ...

JoaoPistori

You just need creeper under it. The way to destroy it is the same of destroying the light blue cannons and the AC emmiters. Also, the more AC under the unit, the more health per tic it regenerates. Maybe the big amount of AC under it made the health regeneration higher than damage taken.
Note: with "creeper under it", I mean really under the exactly coordinates. Doesn't matter the size of the unit, only the creeper on single square in the middle of the unit can damage it. Hope this answer your question of how to destroy it.

I made a bunch of spore towers and just had them all hit the center of it.  It went down fairly quickly once the last CN was gone.

Perhaps my favorite PAC map ever - certainly not "easy" but there was never a point I was making absolutely no progress. Well, except for when I just the spores target a CN and went away for a couple hours. And the Boss was a cool idea - definitely worth playing again.

Excellent map! Thumbs up and all that stuff - keep it up!

Very cool map, amazing to see how this game just keeps evolving, some really good ideas here.

Spoiler
I found it is not worth trying to push creep under any of the foreign units, you will be there all day. For all except the boss just send 4 spores right at the centre and they will fall quickly if timed together.

For the boss remember to take out the AC emitter first by landing spores on them. As long as there is a lot of AC you will struggle to kill the boss.

This one's got me.  I've got the entire top and the left side including the first two special units and I can't progress beyond that.

"Entire top and left side" but you only destroyed 2 of the special units? By my count you should have destroyed 8.

So do you really have the entire top and left side and destroyed 8 of the special units, or do you have uhm... the top-left quadrant of the map?
Your puny map is no match for my Turtle Power!

Here was my basic strategy:
Spoiler

Use emitters to take out the beams and the two flip emitters.
Change the two flip emitters to regular emitters and the original three emitters to spores.
-- Note: as a general rule in this map, I didn't support one emitter with the other.  Just use them to keep the digitalis alive.
Use the spores to take out the "AC shooting things". (three direct hits will destroy them, but probably can't get a direct hit due to the beams).
Slowly work your way over the top right and then the bottom left...again, use lots of spores.  Emitters aren't that powerful in this map due to the massive amounts of AC being shot at them.

Once you get the top and left side, I slowly took over each part.  The main thing to do is take out the flip emitters (3-4 direct hits with a spore) and the "AC shooting things" with your spores.  At the same time try to use spores to take out the energy production.  If you can get the enemy into red energy you'll be in better shape.

I did kinda what zimmer did. Spores seem a lot more effective in this than emitters. Just be sure you time the spores correctly...
-If you need to take out a weapon, time the spores to hit it sequentially so that it's constantly losing health
-If you need to get past beams, time them to hit the beam at the same time

Spoiler
The enemy's power grid is pretty weak. Target the beams that are on the edge of the enemy's defense and you should be able to just whack the reactors at will and keep the system in the red forever.

Saying "Spores" doesn't let them get through.  I found a spot on the right with inadequate defenses that I can get them through but it doesn't help.  I can rain fire on one of the AC cannons but it heals faster than I can damage it.

Sorry, I probably didn't word this clearly enough. Instead of having your spores hit a weapon all at the same time, have them hit every 4 seconds and it will continue losing health. And sometimes it's better to cut off its supply lines than to attack the weapon directly. If you get really stuck, post a screenshot and I'm sure someone will help. Or you can send it in a private message if you prefer.   :)

One of the best PAC maps ever imho!!! ;D

Keep it up. I loved the new CRPL units.

There is a new map, with CRPL combined with a sleeper node.
Maybe that would be awesome for an epiloge!!!

cheers krossi
