[VPAC Vertu Expansion] Armored LURE

:NOTE: This is the same page as the LURE but specifies this as an armored variant.

The LURE system is a structure that emits many signals and interference. The main mechanic of the LURE is the mimicking of Creeper signals to make the LURE's location appear to be under massive amounts of Creep, luring firing systems that attempt to target the deepest Creeper in range.
This is a heavily armored variant designed for withstanding Armageddon levels of firepower when normal LUREs keep getting destroyed.
The list of units affected include but are not limited to:
Fighters, R-Fighters, V-Battlestations, MBFs, HCPPCAS's, Mortars, Thunderers, Rocket Launchers

Along side the mimicking of deep Creeper, LUREs also “shoute” information signals which on target acquisition systems make the LURE appear as an appealing target. In the case of VAUs however, this shouting is seen as annoying and entices VAUs to shoot at the LURE to shut it up.

Stats

  • 175 HP
  • Extreme self repair capabilities. This gives the Armored LURE extreme survivability, making it effectively immune to damage unless it is overwhelming levels of firepower, such as 9 Fighters in formation with a MBF providing fire rate increase and a lone R-Fighter all together shooting it {though recently, some changes to the R-Fighter may make it able to solo the Armored LURE once again} (the main purpose of the Armored LURE is to withstand the R-Fighter).
  • Uses 3.5 power.
  • Very easy to place.
  • Requires to be in 2.5 depth Creep in a 3×3 square area for an extended period of time to activate.
  • Can not be stunned, which is an attribute important for systems like the LURE (hence its mention here).
  • Can be placed on void and uneven terrain.
