The particles were first sighted near a lifeless planet¹⁾. In his never-ending fight against the creeper, Skarsgard Abraxis came upon this new menace during a direct confrontation with the Loki. Unfortunately the Particle Emitters were destroyed during the battle, and as such there is little additional information available at this time.

It is unknown whether this was some natural process corrupted by the Loki or if the Particles were designed specifically to torment Abraxis. The Particles emitters seem to favor a habitat of empty space. The Particles themselves have an apparent interaction through modified gravitational wells, and deliver Creeper to the first solid object they touch.
