The particles were first sighted near a lifeless planet. In his never-ending fight against the creeper, Skarsgard Abraxis came upon this new menace during a direct confrontation with the Loki.
It is unknown whether this was some natural process corrupted by the Loki or if the Particles were designed by the Loki specifically to torment Abraxis.
