Rocket

The Mercury Rocket Launcher is a ship part specializing in destroying high density creeper. The high damage and range of the rocket make it amazing at destroying large piles of dense creeper.

Unit Stats

Rockets require target tiles to have a valid path between the rocket launcher and the target contained entirely within the rockets range. Rockets can shoot around corners and will target the densest tile of creeper it can target.

A single rocket requires 0.5 ammo to fire, and deals 40 damage per tile to all (193) tiles less than 8 tiles away from the tile the rocket hit.

Unit Usage

The Mercury Rocket Launcher is a very high damage weapon, capable of out-damaging cannons by an order of magnitude in ideal conditions. The overarching strategy with rockets is to keep them safe while they demolish the creeper.

Cannons and anticreeper are good options for preventing shallow creeper from pushing onto the rockets themselves, these two weapons also are your best defense against bots.

Shields can keep rockets safe from creeper, though they do have limited durability. You can create a 1-wide hallway of shields that your rockets can shoot through but the creeper would take minutes (or even hours with an extreme setup) to push through. Important note: bots instantly destroy shields so be careful there are no bots in the area you are attacking using this strategy.
