While you cannot directly command / use the impellers, you can flood them with AC, causing them to pump (and multiply) the AC to their destinations.
Click on the multi-impeller and it will highlight all the locations that it outputs to.
The “Multiplier per output” is how much the creep or AC it sucks up and pumps is multiplied by when output to each of its destinations. In this example, the multiplier is x1, so for each 1 creep it sucks up, it will create 1 creep at each destination.
The “Total multiplier” is what the input is multiplied by in total (i.e. “Multiplier per output” x “Number of output locations”). In this example, it is x4 since the impeller had 4 outputs, and the output multiplier was x1.
“These constructions are currently beyond our understanding. So far we have only been able to determine they were constructed by some agent of the founders in some late Founder era.
Their exact original purpose is unclear, since they seem seem to function equally well with both the protective flood and its dark and destructive counterpart.
How exactly these constructs manage to multiply their inputs is utterly beyond us. Speculations range everywhere from higher-dimensional-energy to time travel to gophers. On a sidenote: Acolyte Barbarossa's behavior is becoming increasingly erratic. He seems too attached to worldly comforts for this line of frontier work. I am recommending he be rotated out on the next supply freighter.
My current recommendation is that while long-term study continues, we use the constructs we have been able to secure to generate excess Bluite for shipment to other colonies.
Hope through faith.” -Acolyte Clemens, transmission of the Creator's Pilgrims, 4th era.
