V-Blasters: V-Blaster

:NOTE: The image is of the latest model of the V-Blaster, it was originally just “Blaster” but the stats are identical between the two except for the V-Blaster having a movement speed increase.

Ah, the humble blaster (which then got promoted to V-Blaster). It is a true icon of Vertu's presence within the CW4 universe. Much like the various technology such as the Cannon, Mortar, Tower and so on, the V-Blaster has been distributed across the quantum multiverse into the hands of countless users. (Though to a far, far, less extent than the other constructs like the Cannon).
The V-Blaster converts energy into firepower and lots of it though at a significant inefficiency compared to Cannons and Mortars. They drink power to vaporize large amounts of Creeper.

A single V-Blaster firing non-stop will likely have an energy drain of 6 per second! A Mortar is likely to have maybe 0.81) and a Cannon have some 0.22) when constantly firing. This is a massive jump in energy demand and the damage per energy of the V-Blaster is horrific compared to the damage per energy of Cannons and Mortars although the shear density of firepower is unmatched. A squad of V-Blasters can take on even entire oceans of Creeper plus a bonus ocean so long as they have enough energy to drink. This makes the V-Blaster a very popular frontline unit for entrenched fortifications created by Rift Lab users.

LORE & HISTORY

LORE & HISTORY

Vertu as some may know, is not a stranger to the Creeper Worlds. The first encounter with the many dimensions of the CW universe was all the way back in the CW1 universe. See V-Battlestation's lore section for some lore and history on that. Some of you may even recognize the model of this Blaster even with its differences and if you do, well done. By far one of the most successful CW units to ever exist within any CW dimension is the Original Blaster. In fact, Vertu even has abducted many of these Blasters to study them, giving way to this Blaster here but with some upgrades like the ability to float like the Beacon but still inferior to the overhauled Original Blaster. That's right, Vertu has a bigger fish. There are even some rumors that the modified Original Blaster, code named “Bigger Fish” was a co-development between the Pioneer Fleet and The Grand City during their active alliance.
