Wow, those were some pretty nasty spores at the beginning!  If I was to run through this one again I would do a couple things differently, but it was a good fight.  For those who need help at the beginning:

Spores go randomly to all parts of your network.  You will probably want them to congregate in just one spot (the lowest point), and you can do that by destroying  parts of your own network in advance, leaving only the parts that you want the spores to go, then pack up and head to high ground.
