What does HOLDING term mean for Map Approval?

I submitted 3 maps (Dagon 1,2,3) and they have the status of `HOLDING` I have no idea what this means and cant find any explanations of the terms. I didnt recieve any emails about the maps either. Any info on this is helpful. Thanks.

It means the map has been flagged by a super mod as something for review...often that review has to come from me. The 'hold' state prevents the map from being either approved or rejected till it gets manually looked at.  This is usually because of some language issue or content that has otherwise caused come concern.

Excellent, thanks. I was thinking the maps might not get approved for content reasons. If it's not too much trouble please let me know the problems and I'll see if I can modify them to conform to the standards without losing the story.

you'll receive an email if it is rejected, and it cannot be rejected/approved until it comes out of 'HOLD' state.  So most likely soon...

You'll know the reasons soon enough, but I may as well tell you now that you are here.  All reviewing members expressed concern about elements of the dialog and about excessive alcohol use.

Our guideline for accepting maps is that if a 10-yo is playing and his/her mother is looking over their shoulder, the mother should not be concerned about what the player is seeing on-screen. 

I think all three maps had unique game play and are great maps to have, but you'll have to find a way to clean up the language regarding involuntary reactions when severely frightened, as well as over-use of substances.  We don't want our heroes to be impaired. :)

I PM him about the map about 10 min ago, told him why they would be rejected most likely.

I got a reply. My maps need content modification. I would like the maps to be uploaded in numerical order to keep the story in order so is it possible to reject them all and I will resubmit them in order once modified. I actually want to change the creeper density on map 2 as well. It's too strong I think.

Is there a page that lists what is appropriate content and what isn't? I was told Alchohol is not permitted but what about sexual references, religion, or socially unacceptable behaviour (like non-self-defense killing). I ask because these will all be coming up in future maps. It would be helpful to know in advance so I can edit it out before I submit them.

I just read the 2 latest posts as I was typing this. Thanks for the general rule to go by.
I'll edit the maps down to a 10 year old level.
So, please reject all 3 and I will resubmit them all.

ok Another helpful tip, use the map testing thread in CW2 Custom maps, people will test them(PM me and I'll do it) before you upload your maps to catch things like that.

Thanks. I will do that if I have a map with some content I think is funny but might be objectionable. I just rewrote Dagon 1 and redsubmitted it. Starting to fix #2 now.
