The most recent update won't let me install it on Linux.  It says that it requires an update for air not available for my system.  Guessing this is because linux support for air is basically over.

So could you have another version of updates that work on the older version for linux users?

Virgil can't use a older version of air, because the custom maps map browser needs it ;)

Unfortunately the situation is very difficult for *nix users. Virgil most likely cannot fork a separate build for you guys and maintain both branches. And you need the newer version to play maps incorporating the more recent updates to the editor, such as anti-creeper emitters, etc.

There never has been explicit support for *nix users, it was only good fortune that AIR supported that platform. With Adobe's decision to not support that platform, there is very little Virgil can do.
