When running CW2, I'm noticing lots of lag..... on a hunch, I checked my processor usage, and discovered CW2 is only using one core... the other three have no activity.

Yes, my processor is fine, anything else uses all four cores.

Any thoughts or fixes for this? I have a high-end system with lots of RAM, and 4 gigs of GPU power. AMD Phenom (x4) processor, 8 gigs RAM

This is an artifact of the AIR platform. There is no workaround. And in reality very few applications that exist today are able to exploit multiple cores. Most users have multiple applications using the other cores - so more multitasking than multi-threading.

so how are people able to get super-fast game play? I can't move more than 4 or 5 items at a time, and some players have videos depicting movement of dozens of blasters, launchers, etc.

Do I need to hack adobe?

try task manager and setting the CPU affinity of the CW2 application

My comp is slower then yours and I have only had one slowdown. I had eight dark beams three CB's moving, 20+ Blasters and 15+ Mortars. Maybe the graphics card isn't very good?

Just a question, how much ghz is your processor. I have an HP xw4400.
Specs:
-Windows 7 32 Bit
-Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.40 Ghz
-4.00 GB of Ram (3.25 GB Usable)
-A Intel 975X Express Chipset
-NVIDIA Quadro FX1500 256MB

In theory your's should be way faster than mine.

sys info says 2.3 GHz on the processor....
I've moved the process to "high priority" ... seems to have helped a little, but still lag on 5 or 6 movements...

2.3 ghz, on four cores. Hmmm. I onestly don't know the problem. Try updating AIR maube that will help.
