CW2 Bug: Excavate built on blocks

(Sorry if I am using the wrong terminology here.)

You can "excavate" blocks that have been built on.  This may be a bug but it may also be expected behavior.

"X" out a dirt block to "excavate" it.  Now build something (like a reactor) on it.

The reactor will be built but the dirt will also be excavated.  When the dirt finally does get cleared the reactor disappears (dies).

I would expect that either a) you can't build on block that already have an "X" on it (just like you can't "X" a block that has a building on it), or b) building on a block with a "X" will clear the "X".

That was made to a legal 'gotcha' as Grauniad described it  :)

This is by design, the same code is at work here as the code that makes buildings get destroyed if the ground they are on is destroyed by creeper. Besides that, you're taking an anchored building and removing the dirt from under it, did you expect it to survive? :P

No, I just made the mistake of building on a bad block and I assumed that CW2 would warn me in some way or fix it for me...  Guess I will have to be my own police!  =: P
