Noob Question, but what's bridging?

I have a hunch but I'm sure it's wrong. Can anyone explain it to me? That would be very helpful  ;D

Bridging is an advanced tactic generally hated by most players. It involves using a weapon and/or the city to clear a distance too wide to cross with just collectors or relays, or get across a crazonium barrier. This is generally extremely tedious, but it is often required if you intend to get every possible frame off of your time.

It's easier if you can move it across the length of a cranium wall... And that's not all bridging is used for! It can also be used to clear gaps too wide to normally make connections over, or even to shorten the amount of time it takes to build a chain of collectors. (move weapons to build 2 collectors at once)
