Corvus - survivors

Hi,

I just got the game, and I have a quick question about this level.  I can finish it OK and rescue all the survivors, but I'm wondering if there's something I've missed.  The message when the final survivor pod is reached talks about a stone, and implies there'll be more story to follow ("Put the survivors in my Ready Room until I have a moment to talk to them"), but I've not yet seen any follow-up and I'm several missions on from there.  Is there something I'm supposed to do about this, or am I being impatient and it will happen eventually?

No, nothing else. That's the end of that.

you assume a talk occured after the mission, but the stone becomes important story wise later on
