There are certain unstated elements of the backdrop that keep that from ruining the story... Odin City leaves each world because its inhabitants know that if they give the creeper time to prepare, the sky will blacken with falling creeper, that they must move from world to world as fast as possible if the creeper is to be spread thinly enough to hold back...
