Stuck! how do you destroy/get past the octagon?

Destroying the octagon is easy, it just takes a while (around 15 minutes). My strategy is to let the Hegemon broadside it from a distance, and put the Hurricane in front of it so it deflects cannon shells and protects the hegemon. the Octagon is big so it can heal a lot of tiles at once, but as it gets more and more damaged it loses edge tiles, accelerating it's destruction. But as long the Hegemon and the Hurricane are shooting all guns at the octagon, it will eventually die.

If you have not unlocked the Hegemon before fighting the Octagon, it's in the top left corner of the map. Use the Hurricane to clear the mire and build omnis with the Megawatt.
