As usual just waiting for a spare three hours to attack this!!

Excellent way to wake up.
I lasted for a whole 3:24!
Exploding bugs did me in.
Cannons set to Digitalis, but killing bugs.
There is no justice!
Fun stuff.

I don't get it D and H...

I decided to make a map that would create a time to relax and zip through this one

Where did I go wrong?

Might I suggest a little music in the background, dim the lights, maybe a little jog beforehand to clear the mind?

Hah!
I was completely satisfied to just get the CN down and functioning. Everything else was gravy.
::)

After all these years, I still get caught short by those fat-body bugs you fill your games with.
Which just makes me feel all the better when I do manage to finish one.

OK, doesn't look too bad, I'll just send over a guppy and nullify that emitter on the landing zone.

It's been a while, I thought. PH makes a fun puzzle, I thought.

CN, yes. PZ reactor, yes. Forge, yes. First Spore tower - wait for it - yes.

"Juicy, juicy bugs" ... I wasn't fast enough to strip the Digitalis. Almost, but not quite. Perhaps I'll have to delay the Forge.

Thanks for the map. Maybe I'll finish it, maybe I'll let CW3 fit for another few months.

The start was a trifle difficult.

You need to manage the guppies to get all of the energy out of the one that dies first. Aim for a forge and 5 reactors plus one on the PZ then swap the PZ one for a beam. 2 cannons are enough at the start.

Good clue.
I didn't think of the PZ Beam and probably wasted assets with extra Beams.
Still can't figure out why the doggone Big Fat Juicy Bugs keep dying when I'm not shooting them.
Going back to recent save for a Beam change.

Wait - Forge in stage one?

You've got some magic fingers.
I finally have one @ 2:00 from the CN, up next to the Totems.
Not a lot of real estate right now.

They're so frail, they can easily die by hits from a cannon which is removing the Digitalis under them. Or from the Digitalis being gone.
What I've been hoping to do is use the PZ from the first spore tower for a Cannon targeting the Digi, to stop the runners from wandering near anything important.

I think I'll have to drop the built-with-Guppies early-Forge in favour of rushing southward faster. The energy drain is just too great, and just building the Forge costs as much as another Nullifier. Charging it takes two Collectors-worth. And then there are the packets which get diverted into the Totems.

But if you want a Forge, left of the CN was where I put mine. As far north as possible.

PH, I treat your maps as a puzzle - I'm quite sure there's some sequence of moves which will secure a titanic advantage with little effort, probably by keeping the Runner threat at bay. Perhaps deleting all those Snipers in my first quicksave was a mistake - if I can get two Runners top pop while stacked, I might have some use of them after all.

yup - in the end this is what I did:

I found if you can get two digitalis cannons up at the south-west corner, you can stop the digitalis getting up into that last column.
Then start on the forge, and stabilizing. Next, a march across the bottom, up to the central air-exclusion node, then onward to the inhibitor.
