its possible, very hard, very annoying had to restart 2 hours in

restart 2 hours in? nice, seems like a game i can play while also playing everquest

Interesting challenge.
I managed to take the center island at about 21:00, but can't see a way to invade the bottom land without massive Guppy fleets.
I hope I'm wrong.
Any advice from one of you old timers?

advice: sometimes repurposing what was once useful, may lead to more effective usefullness

would killing the AC emitter give you the range with a PZ relay?

I mangled my way through after reading your comments, and will give it another go in a couple of days.

Down the road maybe we can do some Spoilers for sequence of pickups and sequence of attack.

well, what i did to conquer top:

1.

rushed some defense down in front of the uneven field, and kept 2 cannons on that tiny path to the right

went straight all the way to the right and put mortars to keep creeper from crossing tha wall up there, then mortars under the emiter to keep it from reaching 500depth

went to the 60amt emiter in the island and killed it for the bertha spot

guppied to the forge with bertha making everything easier.

put bertha target on lower island and went for breakfast while getting forge points

There is an easier way.

Spoiler

Start bottom right, ignore everything else.
Build loads of collectors, 2 sprayers and a few cannons to hold off creep until 3 Thors are built.
Build reactors and a few beams.
Take bottom island with 3 thors.
Use one thor and a hovering CN to bridge to centre island, in time the AC and creep emitters wil relay PZ north and south
Clean up

Occam's razor done wins again, eh?
Another way of stating that, is the KISS principle: "Keep It Simple Sir".
I got all hung up in which pickups to make and in what order.

Using your technique, I had the bottom island almost cleared  when I had to 'pause' to go out to dinner.

Getting back to the game later, I realized that I had cleared the entire bottom section in a little over 2 minutes.
I just knew I was going to beat your time - until I took a closer look.

Apparently, I did not hit the pause key before leaving and the game clock was sitting at 2:03:07 (and counting).
Starting over (with occasional saves), I cut my time to less than half of he prior score.

My game time when I got back from dinner was 2 hours, 3 minutes, and 07 seconds.

In a couple more days, that might be funny...but not yet.
