How can you nullify the spore launchers and the tower..? Can't seem to make a dent in the crimson.

Honestly, I don't know if it's even possible. The optional objective can just be there simply to see if someone, somehow could do it, maybe by letting Creeper build up elsewhere around the map and using the Creeper cap to keep the nexus's emitter from reinforcing itself. Not to say it wouldn't be tedious, and it is a mistake on my part to keep that optional objective in there, but I can't do much about it now, I'm afraid. Sorry about that.

Still, I guess it's also a great way to exemplify the canonical impossibility of facing such a thing so early in the campaign, heh.

Another example of why the submission software should require mapmakers to complete all objectives in a single run before they can publish their map to Colonies.  That would avoid publishing maps with impossible objectives and having users complain on the forums/Discord.

The publishing system needs some work in other areas too but this is one of the most important changes that would guarantee that players can complete all objectives.

Of course, even though a map might be beatable today, changes to the base game might make some maps impossible to complete in the future (and vice versa).  That's harder to predict even though it has happened before.

I did a test, and it is possible to get the nullify objective, though it's quite time consuming, and the best case scenario is taking only the upper right island chain (with the stash/emitter/blob nest/skimmer factory), and then waiting for all of the eggs to be sent to the other islands and claiming as many ERNs as you can in the meanwhile, and then bombing it for roughly 30 minutes.  From there, the rest of the map would be relatively fast, though. 

For those curious about some of the math details, the island had 170k creeper on it when I started bombing it.  Bombers do roughly 40 damage per energy, and I had enough bombers to use up all my excess energy, which was about 52.  That's 2080 damage/sec, which is divided by 5 due to crimson, becoming 416 damage/sec.  The island has an emitter that produces 300 creeper/sec, so even at full power it should theoretically take 24.4 minutes to reduce, but in practice it took about 30 minutes, and that's including the fact that the creeper limit was in effect part of the time.  Some of that might have due to inaccurate bombs, as they missed for a while before I switched to having just a horizontal line through the center so they'd hit more.

Also I didn't submit a time, because I ended up cheating a bit to save time just to get to the test.
