No chance of that. You have the game on your computer. Virgil is doing development work on his computer. Neither is connected or influenced by the site where stats are held, nor where the actual game you purchase/download is stored.

Oh will we be able to use CW1 maps with CW2?

Not even death can stop the truly determined.

I told them, "I want to add to the world."
They said, "Then learn how to use the editor."
I asked, "What is the editor?"
They said, "Life."

From what that there development blog has been saying, I wouldn't think so.

Currently watching: ARIA, Dog Days, and other unlikely things.
And some likely things, too!

When the gameplay is as different as I understood (i.e. terraforming), then the old maps won't be of much use I'm afraid.

It would be nice however when we get the possibility to load them into the new map editor so they can be adjusted for the new game.

Game 2 will be  aside perspective as opposed to be a top perspective. How do you guys anticipate that a flat map be "adjusted" for a depth perspective? take one slice through the original map, calculate the 5 depth layers and bingo!?

Twi

Not really, since most CW maps don't have the exact same terrain height for each column of cells.

And it's hoping. Hurray for Firefox spell check.

Of course it depends how many elevation layers the new maps will have, but I can imagine that an import routine can take care of this simple conversion as a start off for the new map. When more layers are going to be used, these can be added as empty layers on top. Same for a different size map: additional cells can be left empty.

Cool!!

Read it before never understood it...

Well that sucks. Don't think I'll play CW2 if it is tilted display.
