I would rate the difficulty on this map as absurd. Very curious about your best time to complete

Absurd? No. Takes a while to dig in, and then it's just a slog.

I see what you mean.  I like the large maps - but it's very hard to make a map where the difficulty increases at the same pace with your power increase - because basically once you get hold of sufficient territory, there is really nothing that can stop you.  This meaning, if you survive the starting conditions, and after conquering maybe 1/5 of the map, you already know you're going to finish it.  So the real question is then, what is the fastest route

It keeps me pondering though if somehow it would be possible to leave the player in doubt until most of the map is conquered - I guess not, but will keep trying to push it further along the line.  Part of the problem is that this would need multiple iterations - and also, once released it appears that several users manage to finish the map a lot quicker than I deemed possible - so there is probably still shortcuts I'm not aware of

" Very curious about your best time to complete"
Is 29minutes good enough for you, or shall I try to improve?

Advice: You could greatly improve the map by adding just 1 air interdiction zone of that fortress complex.

Still.
Nice map. *very* nice map.

I really have no clue how you can do this map in under 30min, but I'll take your hint for the next map
I usually don't use any air support on my own maps, I'm building a ton of Bertha's - so blocking air did not really occur to me.  Thanks for the hint!

Efficient start. remember that command can sit in creep for about 2 minutes before it panics.
I don't even try to take territory towards the digi tracks and ther runners, I just
grab SE area, terp level for power*&Berthas.(18 in this case).
Only accessed one Aether source, researched only the essentials of Power, and build speed.

Build 10 guppies. (about 8 are needed to keep the cannons powered.. the other 2 provide excess power for rapid building of Neutralizer)
While Berthas charge, Build invading army (about 40 cannons, 15 mortars, 6 loaded sprayers)

one Berta salvo clears the creep and digi around the NW corner.
Cannons land, mop up. Guppies land 5 seconds later, provide power.
Sprayers do *not* spray, they park next to neutralizer, and suicide themselves if the creep attacks the neutralizer. A little pool of AC goes a long way!
Neutralize most NW-erly tower.
Build neutralizer on the PZ it leaves, win.

In this map, air interdiction over the enemy base would have prevented Guppy landings, preventing power for the neutralizers. Then the player would have *had* to fight across those nasty digi-runner pathways.

Absurd difficulty?  I'm nowhere near the best guy on here and I got it on the first try without difficulty.  Build up enough power that you can push out a line of cannons, walk across the open areas, clean up the southeast for more space, a pile of strafers, go hunting.  I dropped an autotarget bertha on every power zone I controlled to keep the creep level down.  I didn't realize how weak the defenses around the inhibitor were and took a lot longer than I needed to--removing the outlying stuff first rather than going for the throat.

Indeed..
For true "absurd" difficulty, look more towards something like this...*thing**

From what people are saying in that one I'm not even going to try it.
