This is a difficult map with an especially difficult start. You will need to rush quickly to secure the Berthas and AC Turrets - otherwise, you will be overcome by heavy creep. If you are able to secure the Berthas and AC Turrets in time, victory is guaranteed. #AC-Turret #Pump #Heavy-Creep #Spore #Runner #Aether-Factory Good luck!!

quite the tough start, very fun challenge...but it was the only hard thing in the level. I still enjoyed it.

having the creeper digitalis touch the factories' creeper outlet made things a lot easier than i wanted it to be, since creeper didnt pour into the left side :P

ps. from the scores, apparently a lot of people got frustrated at the beggining hahaha

It is a very difficult start.... I couldn't find the right way.. Or the trick to pass the first wave of spores...

Spoiler
i covered the most ground possible with the collectors, and supply the flip emiter. then got colectors in the emiter's square too.
then started making reactors, one at a time. I dont remember how many i made.

Spoiler
i focus all beams on the top left where i put my CN and reactors. if spores hit below that, the anticreeper can handle it. Also i only started to make beams with 40-50s until attack.

Spoiler
during the attack, i disabled the only collector that was supplying flip emiter so i had energy to refuel the beams.

Spoiler
i think i had 8 beams? i also made extra collectors as south as possible to attract spores, but that was probably just waste of energy lol

Spoiler
on the first attack, i lost half collectors near flip emiter, but even though it started making creeper, i still had around 5 height of anticreeper there, so i managed to resupply it in time.

Oh yes, it is a very tough start!  But I designed the map so that it wouldn't turn into a slog...  Once you made it past the tough start, victory was inevitable between the Berthas and AC turrets :)

Here are some tips:
Spoiler

I started on the right vertical path instead of the left.  I built 3 beams around the PZ after nullification and one mortor.  When there wasn't a spore attack, I had my mortor on the PZ.  When there was a spore attack, I moved my mortor just south of the PZ to put a beam there, then when that beam ran out of ammo, I'd move another beam right next to it there instead during the attack, and so forth with a total of 3 beams around the PZ.  This allowed me to defeat the spores with minimum energy while also getting a bonus on keeping the creep back while I built up reactors.

I almost use the same way you did, but with no luck...   :-\

I'm unsure how to actually attack the last leg of the map. You have anti-air over everything so I can't get units over there.

This is a very difficult start, and it's well-designed. However, the start requires a lot of pausing and moving things around (see Jason's spoilers about rotating the beams).

If you want to make it MORE difficult, ignore the aether factories and do the map without them. I say this tongue-and-cheek, because I saw them and just didn't try clicking on them. >facepalm<  Once I figured out how they worked, it was much easier.

...that is, until I accidentally cut the digi and didn't realize creeper was pouring into my base. >double-facepalm< I managed to salvage what was left of the base and almost lost the CN but that will really hurt you if you don't save the game occasionally. Perhaps you can learn from my mistakes and do better.

Like others have said, once you get enough of a defense to survive the spores, you're pretty much ok.

BTW, if you don't connect the aether factories, they'll leave a packet of aether for you to collect later.

Really cool map - might try replaying this on the left side to see how that works. Thanks for the map!  ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

I did it without the aether factories. I had so much aether from the totems I didn't need them.

Spoiler

Started in the middle. Two PZ reactors, until guppies have built >10 reactors on left, then one PZ reactor and a PZ relay. And lots of beams. Guppies redirected to totems. Managed to hold the lower totems throughout.

Yeah, that's a good point. I didn't go for the totems at all, which probably was a mistake.

For those who don't like to micro, you can start on the left and have 7 reactors built after hooking up to the AC emitter before the first spores fire. After that, you won't need to pause or save the game and you can just run it straight. Took me under 30 minutes real-time to go through the map that way.

Glad you liked the map :)

Spoiler

When I played, I sent guppies to the totems.  No mortors or anything - just beams for protection.  Both islands were eventually overrun, but by the time they were, I had gathered quite a bit of aether.  Then, I activated the aether factories for the rest of the game since at that point I could have dedicated mortors to keep the factory discharge areas clear.

I intended the left side to be a bit easier but also perhaps a bit less interesting.  Going down the right side gives you some extra perks since it isn't as easy...
