Is it desired behaviour of absorber, that one accepting only AC, actually sucks all the creeper around it?
Before I attacked it, green gate was almost constantly at creeper 7 deep, even though it was surrounded by 50 emitters.

i like it that way, means that you can choose to open that path, but at your own risk.

So kicking all the doors open may prove to be a bad idea...specially when one of those absorbers are keeping one of the strongest emiters from taking over the map :P

Absorber mechanics is so that absorber always sucks creeper or anti-creeper but can accumulate only one of it.

That's actually wrong, as laters absorbers can accumulate either but only explode on one, that's a setting.

as i understood, their name kinda indicate their function... acrmod2 / crmod1 or something like that....(forgot what is actually written)

so its like, when in contact with creeper, it behaves in a way, when in contact with anticreeper, it also behaves in a way, which may or may not be the same as creeper...

so we can go by that name to understand how the absorber will react to either
