This is a resource-constrained map, where reactors and collectors are very expensive. Not easy, but not super hard either. #Pump #Runner #Spore #Flip-Emitter #Heavy-Creep Good luck!!

tried so hard to start on the left...it just didnt happen :P

I don't believe it is possible to start on the left - at least I couldn't ;)

Yeah, I started on the left. It's possible, but it's hard.

I destroyed one of the PZ berthas, and I think a small tear dropped from my eye as I did that, but hey, it's necessary.

Hook up to only one of the emitters, and keep your berthas at really close range. One of them got down to just 2% health before clearing some space. It's tough to balance but possible. The right side looked like the easiest start to me, but the left looked more fun. And you'll be hanging on for a while, just upgrading power to get enough energy production to push out.

Really cool map - I'm liking the stacking pumps! Thanks for making this map  ;D ;D

Unfortunately, that pretty much describes all of these "power limited" maps of his.

Start->grab a toehold->nullify some unwanted PZ-> WAIT for reactor on PZ.

Once you have the power, its just one long mop-up, as the enemy has now had time to build up vast reserves.

Yeah, well - that's what starting on the left was like. Just to see, I replayed this map and started on the right. It was much easier, and you can pretty much make constant progress - albeit a bit slowly - from the very start. It's a huge help to power up the three totems on the upper right and keep them powered the entire game. After about 25 minutes, with all 5 PZ berthas hitting the right places, I left it running for the day. When I came home, AC had flooded everything and it was an easy finish.

So if you like a slow, challenging slog - start on the left. If not, start on the right.

Has anyone tried starting in the middle on this map? Just curious to see what that's like.

I destroyed *two* of the power zone berthas to start on the left, and stopped resupply for a third. I could possibly have gotten away with just destroying just one pz bertha had I realized the relay wasn't on void.  One pz was used for a beam, the other for starting a reactor build.

THen I microd nearly the *everything*. no connecting to the blue emitters, but build a single ore mine and sprayer. Stop resupply to all but one pz bertha.  Fire the first bertha shot...iirc NEAR you instead of at the 1k emitter. Nullify the nearby spore towers for extra power zones (e.g a pz mortar). disarm the forge until you have 20 ether. About the time you get the 40 ether energy upgrade, send a guppy north to gather more ether.
