Another good map. The start was a bit of a puzzle, enjoyed it.

teknotiss

i was hoping the start would be at least slightly tricky, looks like i managed it!

cheers again dude  8)

The main trick for this one is allowing creeper to build up and rush emitters. As your first emitter is on high terrain it will continue to pump out creeper allowing you to build deep reservoirs.

I have just noticed a cheat:

Spoiler
Land your CN in the top left of the map and fly it down to the base building a collector on the way to collect the bomber and sprayer tech. You can now target the nests with AC.

Wish I'd spotted this the first time round!!

For the end game the singularity helps to push the creep around.

hey dude, i will reply here so others can see the options.

D0m0nik has a good tactic, but you can get a sprayer and bomber tech by landing at the start position too!

Spoiler
so what i did (i don't got for fast times in my maps so this won't be as fast) was to level most of the first area with terps to height 6, but left a small pit in the centre between the 2 exploding blue emitters.

then i cut down the wall and build height 9 walls to protect those exploders from the AC (9 level is equal to 450 AC/C depth)

cut the next wall to the north and flip the emitter below the central yellow gateway.  then cut the walls north and flip the top emiiter between the power boosting "nests".  If you "wall off" the yellow gateways you can save up AC faster too, and just cut them down later when you are ready to take those northern islands.

you can then get the bomber and sprayer in the central blackhole gateway area.

power up the island nests then start taking the remaining flip emitters on the first island area. then one by one take the exploder ones
[close]

that should get you going if D0m0ink's tactic is not for you!  ;) 8)

if you are still stuck i will get some screenshots to help you later on!

Just a heads up, it's actually possible to

Spoiler
get all the tech in the center by only bringing down 1 wall. A lot of the side tech can then be collected with flying unit bridges without the need to bring down any additional walls.

Opening up one emitter room lets you connect to the totem network, which chains all the way up to the top to let you collect all the upper tech. Getting the side tech at that point, of course, still requires a flying unit bridge as far as I can tell. And some of them are still unreachable until you clear some creeper, but this approach nets you a lot of tech by about 2-3 minutes in. Of course you'd be doing other stuff in the meantime, but for the purpose of this screenshot I only brought down that one emitter room and connected everything form there.

yup, true, i wonder how many people spotted that option?

lol i get that feeling sometimes!

missing obvious stuff can be infuriating  ;) ;D 8)

Still trying to break out from the initial island.

I simply can't control the Forge's effect with the required precision. I move the creeper around, and in the end some creeper will start coming over from a neighbouring island and everything becomes uncontrollable very quickly.
Those low-level emitters that you get are just traps - they tend to get flooded, they suddenly emit double or triple what they'd with AC, so they make recovery very difficult, which in the end became very frustrating.

Is there a way to stop the black hole? I tend to have thousands of energy, and even at 25% it's activated for a minute or more, and I have to wait until it's gone. Setting a second black hole can distract, but the variable durations tend to end the black holes in random (and often catastrophic) order.

teknotiss

i totally avoided the black hole, you can wall it off but if you use a singularity too close you can over flood it.  you do not need to use that island to win the game.

part of the problem for you might be overuse of the singularity weapon!

you can use some of the hints above in spoilers to get some sprayer and bomber tech early, then once you have powered up your emitters by flooding the power nest islands you will be able to overwhelm the flip and exploder emitters on the main island!

if you need more advice just ask, i can go make some screenies if you need them?

it was supposed to be a bit tricky, but not frustrating, sorry dude! 8)

I found it useful to keep upgrading packet speed to waste aether or select the totems and disable them! I wanted 100 per singularity blast and I only used it on the top Islands.

Yes I was doing a similar tactic, let it get to 400/500 aether tops and set the singularity to 25%... don't want to be hanging about too long waiting for a pile of AC or C to disperse!  :D

That is exactly how I did it! Great minds...  :P
