The city and it's keep have fallen. Now, it is up to you to fight your way back to the mainland and take back your home! But be quick about it; they know you're here, and are plotting against you.

The Thor is nothing like essential.  By the time I had it I had 10 PZ berthas, they were quite sufficient to suppress the creep in the east.  One line of cannons on the wall, one nullifier on a PZ and it was over.

I thought it may be possible to start top right and go straight for the big one, couldn't do it but not that far off. Note the energy surplus though, may be possible???

I tried that, and didn't get as far as you did.

Ended up building a bit of a battery of berthas on the south base, got some forge upgrades and then flew a CN up to destroy the big one, using berthas as backup fire. Worked great. Then I spent the same amount of time again flying around picking up all the pickups scattered around the map.

I started off convinced there was a million different ways to get a head start on this map and now have sadly concluded that there arn't really any worth giving up a CN for! Here goes some good old fashioned base building!

Started again and used a couple of CNs to collect some early tech to speed up the end game. Top middle and all top right items can be collected straight away. All PZs used for bertha where possible. Fun map!

The big emitter that's in the only area that isn't covered by anti-air can be taken out by a pre-emptive strike.  I figured it was worth the delay in building my base.

First map I've played in weeks, and it's definitely a fun one. There's really no need to rush though, provided you build enough beams for the spore tower in the upper left that shoots out several streams of spores. Apparently it went off when I was afk for supper but enough beams on pz's will usually fix all your spore problems.

I liked the layout of the map as well as the dialogue... which was interesting and even mostly spelled correctly. Thanks!

I agree that the Thor was unnecessary - even guppies are unnecessary as well as snipers and other stuff too probably. But I like that the map is nice & balanced as well as fun for players of every skill level - even old & rusty players that have had a far-too-busy summer!  :P

Thanks for the map!  ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

I used guppies to get the AC to the mainland, so I found them actually useful.
But yes I could have done without them, I have done emitter-2000 maps just with mortars.
(BTW I have stopped looking at the scores given the obviously hacked scores. 4:10? Really? Scores should be uploaded with the clickstream so the server can replay the game and see whether it's a win.)

I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, as a general rule. I took a quick peek at the map, and like d0m0nik I think it may be possible to start in the northeast. I also came pretty close to taking out the big guy early on but couldn't quite swing it.

Even with that in mind, however, it would take a good 2 minutes just to get the inhibitor killed since you have to secure the initial zone and build 2 nullifiers. Cleaning up the rest in only an additional 2 minutes is insane since that isn't even enough time to get bertha support set up for clearing remnant creeper.
