A small amount of armour on a fighter base can improve durability significantly.

Cool Ship! I suggest adding an energy tank between the engine and command module. It will be able to perform better if you do that.

Maybe better 2 energy tanks (left and right from CM)?  ;)

Perhaps shift the CM left by a cell, place a tank there, and put two Guppies on the right?
Or move the engine left, the CM right, and add a third Guppy or a Port.
