Some structure has popped up in the Pyrus system. It is rich with resources and we must claim it for our shareholders before our competitors get there!

This map was inspired by a real life event here on our farm. A wild pear tree recently appeared (or rather, was recently noticed) in our pasture and we're taming it and grafting better varieties onto it. It was completely surrounded by thorns and weeds but it's a valuable resource worthy of conquering. I figured it'd make a fun map. :)

That's a cool story! Also, free pears?

Eh?? Do you just glue on a really nice looking pear and hope it takes hold?   ;D

Pretty much, actually. Most fruit is grown that way. You peel back the bark of a wild seedling and poke into that a thin branch from the variety you like. The branch fuses with the original plant and continues to grow. The resulting tree has the vigor of the wild seedling with the fruit production of the improved variety.

I had no idea! That is incredible!

Fun map by the way, obviously an omni battle through and through but well executed.

I tried to make it a mix of omnis and ships but you're right, it ended up being an omni battle. It ended up being a very easy but fun map with quite a few paths to victory, so it has some replayability, I think. My goal is to make a map that combined the fun of miring land with the thrill of ship battles. I'll keep trying. :)

Very glad to play Your new exellent omni type map!
I tried several times to start and then understood how...
It was nice experiment and enjoyable game!
Big thanks!  :)

P.S. DOmOnik again number 1 !  8)
P.P.S. Surely 10/10, but role of ships in game not so impressive (I like Your stdVARRO, but won before ship was builded).
1560 maps in CW2, CW3 and PFE till now

first run i was trying to mire the land, but i was too slow... second run around, as soon as i had enough omnis down to equalize things i was rampaging along with my ships again :D

GoodMorning

I really enjoyed this one. Thanks, stdout. It's somehow very relaxing to play.

The pear tree story makes a nice mental backdrop - and gives me an idea. Grafted trees are also interesting to look at when you end with different fruit on one (or every!) branch.
A narrative is a lightly-marked path to another reality.
