Yes, I have given up. Henceforth, the "designer" field will have to be labelled with only "GM".

With this shielding, what damage would be done your ship by one soft particle will not be done this by seven hard particles (normal settings).

The design philosophy of the Aegis, taken further. The Aegis needed external power to last indefinitely under constant shielding. The Ram does not have this flaw, with a constant 3eps available for on-the-go repairs, refill, or lathing.
