What controls what's revealed?

And it's actually pretty easy, the defenses are weak, it doesn't take much to get spores through to the CNs.

Builder17

Every tile has core and when core gets digitalis under it it destroys itself and centers camera into it.

Also , start has meteors scripts based to script in old pac map.

The auto zoom and centre on a tile is infuriating for me, just as your about to plant digitalis on a spore hitting a void, the camera jumps!!

Neat idea, hate the camera jump!

Builder17

That auto zoom was meant to be helpful , I think there is too many DTrigger cores.

Try avoid putting digitalis under middle of black squares to not trigger these if you want.

"Planet conquir" - As soon as I started playing this map I realized something: "Planet Conquer" is JUST like "Planet Hollywood"! True, it doesn't have pictures of celebrities, or loud pop music playing in the background, or a parking lot... or food and drinks for that matter. But what it DOES have in common is a lot of dark corners and the name "Planet"! So seriously, that's no coincidence right? It's like... the same exact thing, isn't it? Because everyone knows that the "same thing" isn't quite as similar as "same exact". So yeah, it's just about like going to Planet Hollywood and having a big steak dinner. With steak knives. MmmmmMMmm.

After playing this map, my psychiatrist increased a couple of my meds, and suggested I stay away from sharp objects and other people for a while. I'm not saying this map messed with my mind, I'm just saying after I played it I had an insatiable urge to lurk in a dark alley with a few sharp knives and... Ah sorry, my lawyer says I shouldn't finish that last sentence.

Anyway, yeah... totally different concept. I liked not knowing what I wanted to know and not being able to see what I wanted to see. Great job and keep it up!  ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

Does that include sharp cheddar?
Your puny map is no match for my Turtle Power!

Does that include constructive criticism?   :)

...  How was metors script?  How could I make DTrigger script better?  "???"  Profit!   :D

I thought the "black-out" idea was cool. Definitely different. Sort of like a "fog of war" I suppose.

I wasn't a big fan of the camera snapping to focus on the newly revealed territory, as others have also mentioned.

It would be extra-cool if you could hide the units too, but I'm not sure if that's possible or not. And that would probably make other people mad but it would be more challenging and a bit more mysterious too.

Love your maps dude... keep it up!  ;D

Hiding units in this way while showing Creeper would be difficult, and require a Core per unit, or an image per cell.

With a more powerful machine, it might be able to handle that kind of rendering and the scripting to make it happen. Let me see... With little overlap in images, and scaling to cover multiple cells if needed, you would need GetDigitalis and GetCreeper calls to every cell, and image count would scale approximately with front size. You would also need calibration to keep Spores and Emitters visible.

Potentially you could increase tiling size and update delay to make this cheaper. Partial transparency and LOS would make it more expensive, but planetfall's Tentacle script already maintains a list of similar size, though not as frequently updated.

Still, small maps only or lag will be a problem.
