Don't lose ships, it'll be too hard from there. Don't lose the HQ, or you lose. Love y'all!

Sorrontis

I only lost my 2 fastships, 3 razorbacks, and one Hammer V2 to beat this mission. Can you do better, with a better time? (Probably can I bet)

Actually, this is the second version. The first version you can't even get out of the blue corner without losing half the fleet.

I was waiting for this map. :D Not for me - not this level of skill, yet - but I'd love to watch hubby play without being able to mass-sacrifice. :D

Glad to hear it. I'll be reworking the harder version after my next map.

Very slightly better time but lost 5 razors, 2 fast, 1 Fire and a P-Class!

Interesting level, I did not know that:

Spoiler
Ships regenerate even without a power source, the HQ powers up quite quickly of it's pwn accord.

Yep, as long as they have energy reserves, they self heal, making this map possible!

Me no likey.

The ships were starved for energy after firing a few shots. Reactor unit can handle some small things, rebuilding proper size ship just takes forever. And on few ships my reactors got hit, so I had them creepled till the end.

Fair enough.

Ships have small energy reserves. You have to use that reserve sparingly. Shuffle your ships as you move forward. Always keep an eye on your ships health. Don't be afraid to sacrifice ships when they are damaged beyond repair. Remember, that pausing and using the "N" key to move one frame at a time is very helpful in this situation.

Using the N key seems to be very unpopular in CW3 and I suspect the same will be true with PF. I did not use it, or pause for that matter, at all.

Spoiler

The route of attack was the most important for me, I took the HQ on a Northern arch to get to the central emitter (the most aggresive one) as quickly as possible supported by the fastest ships. Once this emitter was done there was time to slowly pick off the others.

Spoiler

I did a southern arc attack route. Took out the lower left emitter, followed by the central and top. Finished off the right side of the map in a couple minutes after that. Light & medium fighters took most of the hits to protect hits for the HQ.

Wow dude, I dunno why this map has such a low rating. I figured I was up for a challenge, but this map was actually deceptively easy, if you're not in a hurry and/or just running on 4x speed or more.

LOVED the ships. You have a great eye for design and functionality.

HATED the little auto-spawn ship. Why? Because the enemy ship would try to hit it and inevitably miss and somehow manage to one-hit my HQ which was more than halfway on the other side of the map. Bad luck, you say? How about THREE times? So I decided to just hide behind the big ship.

Your ships are so good that I realized I only needed to use two of them plus the HQ. Probably could've managed to only use the really cool massive ship with 12 reactors.

IMO, this is a really cool map and I dunno how anyone could possibly not win this with a little bit of patience. Even at the overly-cautious snail's pace I was moving it only took about 6-7 minutes real-time (not including the reloading when the HQ went ka-blooey).

Thanks for always having really different - and almost always cool - ideas for maps!  ;D ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

hbarudi

They keep getting my hq, but even though this is meant to be a puzzle map, denying multiple hq spawns and no usability for energy mines and no mire is really not good for this map as most of the features of the game are disabled.

Finally did it after prioritizing their ship in the second part and making sure my hq does not get hit by their mk7. Also prioritize that emitter that makes very fast moving particles before the other emitters.
