Just something different. Not really hard, but if you don't like AC please ignore this map. #Space #Little Bitty Islands #AC - LOTS of it #No spores, no digitalis, extra ketchup

I can't win.... about 5 hours game time (at 4x) and can't clear enough creeper to land at the top

ore mine on every ore point, full tech, and making out dumping ore

and building extra sprayers, dropping them at around the thingie top right and letting them blow up to dump AC

still not enough :(

am i missing something?

Johnny Haywire

Yeah... the singularity weapon in the forge is probably what you're missing. Think of it as a big black hole that pulls creeper AND anti-creeper to it. It has a fairly large radius. Once you have enough AC flowing, save up around 800 aether in the forge and shoot it maybe 9-10 spaces behind one of the closest emitters. That should let you clear that emitter.

Oh, make sure all your sprayers are set to "always on" - wherever they are. You should have more AC coming in than you can spray out on your little island. Once you start moving out you'll be able to use more of your AC.

And one more point about the singularity weapon. If you can save up like 3,000 or so, the creeper will pile so high it will kinda "fizzle out" - unless that's been fixed. You can actually see it fluctuating between creeper and AC.

Hope this helps! If not, post a screenshot or message me and I'll try to help more.  ;)

I keep getting the spot for the singularity weapon wrong, well behind the emitters might be worth a try.  And when it finished the singularity it flooded the land I took plus more :(  I'll try again soon.

I'm guessing that the PZ's are for collectors, they can then join further to sprayers etc. than relays.

Seems like a good concept, but might take a bit to beat it.

Johnny is officially a psychopath. He's that really nice, funny guy who everyone likes but is actually a little bit evil. Or a lot. Perhaps fully certified doolally.

I'm 20 mins in and very much enjoying it, as promised it is certainly a bit different. Nice work Johnny.

D0m0nik

That was really challenging but in the best way, you know you can beat it, your just not sure how it's gonna play out.

Perhaps not that evil after all.

My favorite maps are the ones that teach you something new, I learnt a new trick on this one:

Spoiler

You can use the singularity weapon to take the creeper 'for a walk'.

Fire the first one in the top right of the map and 5 secs before it finished aim another one to the left of it.

Repeat the above in stages until you have moved the bulk of the creeper slowly into the top left corner of the map and out of harms way.

Build up a lot of aether before you begin and adjust the amount of aether you use on the singularity to keep it going.

Glad you liked the map, Dom! Another thing about the singularity weapon...

Spoiler
You can also "walk" your AC to a target area. Activate a 30-second or so singularity near your AC and it will pull it all in, and when it releases you'll flood the area.

You can also "walk" large areas of creeper by shooting multiple areas in a semi-circle, then putting a longer-lasting singularity in the center of that semi-circle. Then you can "walk" that huge amount of creeper wherever ya want.  ;D

I originally made a version of this map WITHOUT the singularity weapon, but realized it was just going to take too long to beat it.

I double-checked and ran through this mission long enough to verify that it *can* be beaten without using a single singing singularity!

I think I'll post the map and post hints right away since I'm guessing not everyone is completely obsessed with AC.

Yeah, so I just realized all the opening conversation is under "Archived Transmissions". What a newbie map-maker mistake. Sorry about that.

If you don't mind, check it out... hopefully it'll be good for a chuckle. I worked long and hard hours editing pictures for it. Well, maybe just like 15 minutes but yanno...
