Desc:
Harder version of "Real Nightmare". Note that this is not the nightmare of your dreams. What was changed: Removed some AoO; Removed 1 free power zone and changed the position of the other one; A bit more of starting reactors limit; Updated light blue cannons; Updated the projectiles (added the decorative mist); Stronger emmiters, and some are placed on the void, so you can't use the power zone; The boss now can shot like the light blue cannons, and will do some more things as its health decreases.

Only 14 scores out of 285 downloads for the original, this does not need a harder version!

Might wait for my next day off before giving this one a go!

Alright, I managed to beat the map in under a hour  :D
Knowing what to do from playing the normal version helped of course.

Play how?  No menu, but there are crystals to siphon so we obviously can build stuff.

Wait. All of that free stuff? You can play when it's gone.

The author CRPLed out the menu for a starting cutscene.
A narrative is a lightly-marked path to another reality.

Hey, just going through some maps labeled "Hard" and came across this one. It's a really interesting map with a few CRPL challenges that enhance the threat. It's like having a few mega-spores thrown at you every now and then. Pretty cool idea!

Essentially, the difficulty of this game is merely surviving long enough to rescue all 4 pods

I found it was pretty easy to do with two guppy trips

. Once you do that, and use the Freeze + Mass Driver (in that order) on the two side emitters, it's pretty much just a matter of time before you win. But those first 15-18 minutes are really intense!  ;D ;D

Side note - this map seems familiar... if I remember right the "easier" version of this overdid the spore payload so that it ended up producing AC instead of creeper. But this map is very fun to beat just using straight-up efficient brute force.

Thanks for the map - nicely done!  ;D ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?
