You forget to add a data pickup telling us what to do to the ships or something?

Haven't played it yet, but one of the weapons is designed for 'unusual' targets.
Have you tried all of the various weapons in the arsenal?

EDIT: Never mind. Just tried what I thought would work (Sniper), and it doesn't.

Warning to first time players - some of your targets will destroy all of your nearby units as you kill the target. Grab all of your nearby units and start a movement away when your Nullifier is about to detonate.
"Rage" truly belongs in the title, since that is my immediate reaction when I see a map maker use this technique.
