This is the first map I've made without using DMD. The idea is simple: several emitters with increasing strength, and it's up to you to figure out how to take them down the fastest. However, you'll find that a lot of tech has been disabled to make it a lot harder for you. Good luck, and enjoy (if you can).

sorry dude, if you want me to play your maps you'll need to put in a forge and a few totems or at the least some aether in a resource pack.
for me it's "no forge = no fun"

I worked through the first Emitter, just to see how it would go - but this really was a 0 on the fun meter.
As far as I can tell, the only way to play this is to max out your Reactors and Blasters - with no chance to upgrade anything for the whole game.
I appreciate your submitting this, but please consider adding back the basic features and never do a game without a Forge.
Thanks,

The only challenge is to take out the first emitter.

After that, you have 3 Berthas so you just start placing them on the PZs. With a Bertha assist, the cannons can easily take the other emitters.

Put it on 4X speed and just relax and have fun. :)

LOL!
Then an hour and eight minutes later, you're done?
Your tactic might well work, but that is a very long time to spend for very little activity.
There is never any danger of losing, and never any action other than slowly blasting away at large amounts of Creeper.
Granted, some players enjoy that type of game...I'm just not one of them.

I cleared the lower two islands and was halfway to clearing the third when I realized we HAD Berthas.  ::)

Clearing the first island really wasn't much of a challenge, and after that it's just a matter of building up a massive reactor farm and pumping out pulse cannons left and right and... waiting.

Some totems on at least the 2nd island and a forge would go a long way towards getting more people to like this. You can limit how far the forge allows people to upgrade, but allow them some upgrades. Having to push forward very slowly towards what is an inevitable win turns people off the map.

I forgot about the berthas until the last quadrant... went with more kamakazi pulse cannons than I've ever used before.   Wasn't a problem until the last emitter (top left), was tricky getting PC's close enough to it to allow for a nullifier.  Shields didn't seem to help at all.   Ended up dive bombing the last corner with more PC's, after several waves, finally managed to get the nullifier fully built before getting overrun again.  Would have been more enjoyable with a forge, definitely... PC range is just so dang short. =)

One more lament in the "come, planes" (sic) department. Slooow map. Great possibility for fun and interesting strategy, but Lawd, A'mighty, was it slow!  I quit once I landed on the second quadrant. I was hoping to play a fun map and this wasn't it.

Next time, maybe reward us with a Forge, Totems and a little bit of Ore....
