I liked this one.
Very busy - need to pay attention with all the crowded space and activity.
Worth a replay, thanks.

Thank you for the feedback, the size is mainly because I have an older computer, big ones lag a lot so the maps I create are just small goodies :P

This is another good map from you. I liked the "climbing the stairs" mechanic that made things difficult and challenging. I also enjoyed having to start out without relays. The bertha reward mid-way through was great.

You're right that it's far too easy and that takes away a lot from what could have been a great map. My suggestion: Next time, don't give the player a foothold right out of the box. Make the player have to build his own foothold. No free reactors on PZs and no free bank of mines already working to produce ore. For a lot of players, the fun is in the stress of establishing the early foothold and from that point on the fun kind of decreases a little.

You also gave an ore mine tech pickup which makes no sense given this map.

I thought this was a very balanced map. Without the pre-built structure, this would have been quite a slog to get into an attack posture.

:)

Don't worry about the size. It is very rare for a map much larger than this to be anything but a complete slog - the worst kind of games on the roster.

H do you need a faster machine?

Well, I could use a little more RAM...but my system is right quick (as we say in these here parts):

If I'm recalling correctly, that was the title of a song by Sly and the Family Stone.
Just a reference the variety of likes and dislikes betwixt people.

In my next map the ore mine tech pick up WILL make sense, i promise that :d
Also no more free PZ's for you |^-^|
But I will put lots of ore in it, 'cause thats just how i mine :P

Well, actually the prebuilt stuff was not all that necessary, since there was no immediate danger (void between starting points and the creepy stuff)
Also when you say "a map much larger than this", do you mean 256x256? or smaller maps too? (like 180x180 or something)

Good to know I was not the only one having fun playing it (also I had a lot of fun making it)
Will keep up the work, its for others to decide if its good or not  ::)

Personal preference - the DMD "Medium 4x3" maps are my first choice. They are 162x121.
Thanks,

I'll probably never make a map with those dimensions  ;D
I am a bit of a symmetrical freak so my maps will probably all be square (90x90, 120x120, 150x150)
