Ok...  Helper how did you do that?  There has to be a trick I haven't figured out yet.  I barely made the 7 minute score.  Any hints would surely help me beat you in the future   :)

Anytime there is an inhibitor along with artifacts present you nearly always have an instant win.

Spoiler
Grab the converter and freezer, use them near the big red inhibitor. Then land two CNs and nullify that dude. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

So... I hope nobody is going to read this but what is a converter or a freezer?  Have I missed the two big
tricks all this time?

I restarted this map and didn't see any tools other than what I am used to using.  This should be interesting...

Thanks for the assist stdout

Hmmm.

This may well turn into one of those 'oh for the love of....' moments.

Spoiler
OK.

Are you familiar with the Artefacts of Odin?

Pick them up and use them as weapons from the Orbital tab.

They're powerful, and big game changers.

Experiment.

Or perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick and I'm teaching grandpa how to suck eggs...

Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.

Big round F and big round C = lots of interesting twists for tactics. mostly brute force tactics  ;)

Spoiler
The freeze AoO (yellow F) completely freezes all enemy structures in its area of effect. That includes emitters, creeper, spore towers, runner nests, runners, and digitalis.

Spoiler
The convert AoO (blue C) turns all creeper in its area of effect into an equivalent amount of anti-creeper.
[close]
Spoiler
The mass AoO (red M) destroys all creeper, anti-creeper, and player units in its area of effect, and creates a large crater where it lands, which is usually a pit of level one terrain surrounded by a level eight terrain wall.

@ph - sorry for the delay, (but a quick look at the calendar is a clue to how I've been occupied).
:)

As noted, I dropped one CN in the lower right and grabbed the "F" (Freeze) and "C" (Convert) Artifacts. I've never figured out how to use the Mass things, so ignore them.

As soon as I had the F's and C's, I dropped them on the Inhibitor and the surrounding Emitters - then dropped two CN's to build the Nullifier. A few others have apparently used the same technique - but more efficiently than I.

Spoiler
drop a CN by the inhibitor immediately. It then has time to build up some energy reserves before and can build faster.

Oh Wow!   Caveman you are so funny.  I am still laughing.

How did I miss these.  Talk about being focused on the task at hand.  So in the future I am going to take off my cape, my goggles, my feet off the rudder peddles
and look around.

I will play with these and see how they operate.

Goodness....  This is funny!

Blessings to all

My favourite aao is the mass driver - I pestered Virgil from the early days for a terrain altering weapon, and I was so excited when he introduced it.

Having said that, the conversion bomb was my weapon of choice in cw2, so I was very happy to see the conversion aoo too!

How interesting. I actually never really use the mass device. It makes a mess of things and the terrain seems to become less usable after its use. Maybe I'm not thinking about it the way I should.

I agree on the conversion bombs. Love 'em!!

It can make emitters easier to approach if you blast the emitter directly. Reduces the effective power of the emitter by 7 because emitters set rather than add creeper. The crater wall also makes a nice quickie fort or a safe nullifier emplacement. It also has some extremely niche uses that can save you a little time.
Pretty sure I'm supposed to be banned, someone might want to get on that.
