A simple map with some cannon and a force beam and a small resource puzzle. #CRPL

Hi, I am a Bible believing christian.
I am a Youngevity distributor.

"Very difficult" perhaps, but not "impossible." The map maker has to play the map and win before it can be posted to Colonial Space.

This one is definitely tough. I had to take several shots at it until I could get to a point where I had a row of 7 PCs backed up by 7 mortars and the energy to use them, and then get a bertha built before they got overwhelmed. It's tight to get to that point. Then I was in a position to push forward (slowly!) and try out ways to deal with those evil cannons.

Evil. Cannons.

I really liked this one.  Definitely tricky at the start, but a nice advance.  The super spore towers took some strategizing.

stdout

It took a couple restarts to get a good foothold.

Spoiler
Land all 3 CNs and start building a reactor on a PZ. As soon as it's done, start another reactor building and also start a bertha on one of the PZs. I did build a few mortars out in front of my CNs to slow the approach.  I started to get over-run with creeper but the bertha finally fired off and cleared the immediate threat. Then I built a second bertha and filled up the remaining PZs with reactors and from there, well, things got interesting. :)

Difficult start. I went for five totems. Not necessarily optimal.
Spoiler
a pz collector is a useful first thing to build - replace it later with a reactor for more power.

Spoiler
The evil spore cannons are easily distracted. They will even fire at a guppy. I wasted a lot of guppies. Mortars would probably have been cheaper, but I had a guppy spare and wanted to use it

I totally expected someone to find a way to sneak behind enemy lines and beat my best score. IIRC, only the emitter needs to be destroyed.

I assume everyone knows that the cannons fire spores. They can be defeated with beams.

It can be done maybe, but is difficult because
Spoiler
the cannons shoot at the nearest target, and you can't land a CN without destroying the earlier cannons.  So you need to beef up your build speed, then send probably a parade of decoys while using the singularity weapon.

To get a foothold,
Spoiler
Land all 3 CNs on the next two steps up from the PZs, quickly build a collector on a PZ, then build two PZ generators and two shields.  I think shields and a couple of mortars are the best way to defend in the beginning.  The PZ collector will give you 0.6 energy, each CN gives you 1.5 energy, and each PZ generator gives you 4 energy.  That should be enough to get you started.

Yes, it's possible.  :)

You're killing me here!  So essentially you do this with no totems, therefore no singularity and taking a minute to build the nullifier.  No time to load up bombers, so you must
Spoiler
Jam a nullifier in the corner with an emitter, a couple of PCs, and a guppy?!

Come on, give me a hint ;)

Spoiler
Oh, there was enough time for a bomber, but it really hurts to waste some PZs for ore mines.

Attention mapmakers! The force beam used in this map has bugs that reveal themselves if you modify the settings. The sequel will have a fixed version with extra features.
