Sorry but random destruction of my base with no chance to defend is the opposite of fun.

Tried using sprayer's always on function in the middle of your base along with a few pulse cannons here and there?

Grayzzur

Yes, and there's still random destruction of chunks of the base. With a healthy does of AC and lots of pulse cannons all over my base, here's the part that makes this map not so much fun:

Reactor lost!
Reactor lost!
Collector lost!

Keep having to pull back and rebuild the support network to get the energy back. I had to seriously over-build the base to keep it from going down. And re-build it. And re-build it.

It's an interesting idea, but there should be some mechanism for the player to mitigate the effects of new weapons. Random unavoidable destruction once or twice until you can get a particular defense in place might be okay. Random unavoidable destruction every 3 minutes and 6 seconds until you beat the map is not particularly enjoyable.

While I can't say I had fun early on, I did learn about redundant networking and random placement of my nuclear farm...

Wow. You covered a lot of ground. I only had the top left 1/4 of the screen, and at that point just pushed in for the kill. I had numerous PC's sprinkled liberally around like the reactors, and not nearly so much AC.
