Unprotected inhibitors are a recipe for 45-second games, because that's about all the time it takes to build a nullifer when there's nothing to stop you from doing that first.

Another emitter with a light layer of creeper in that back area would be one way to prevent that from happening. Another would be to roughen up the terrain in front of the walls so that command nodes can't land in range of relays beyond the wall. (Command nodes can land in creeper and survive for quite awhile before automatically returning to orbit.)

So, I went back and played it without insta-popping the inhibitors, and it was a fun challenge. I managed 31:55.5 that way, and all my efforts to build SAMs were wasted... I destroyed the last of the spore towers on my way to the inhibitor somewhere around 96-98% built, nearly 30 minutes in.

The totems in the upper left corner were not necessary. By the time I got to that part of the map, I was fully upgraded at the forge. As you've disabled the singularity weapon, all that extra aether was useless.

The starting area is nice. It rewards initial aggressive play with a larger starting area and extra power zones. Once you get off the first island, you go up against progressively stronger emitters, but the pace picks up as you're heavily upgraded and there are plenty of power zones for mortars and berthas, and no shortage of energy.

Overall a nice design. Keep an eye on protecting your inhibitors for the first minute of the game next time!

you cant beat this, there is too much creeper to nulify the red thing. so i dont know how to do it.. i got thor on it, and still cant nulify it.

It's definitely beatable; lots of Berthas on power zones helps.  I wonder if a shield on one of the nearby PZs would do anything...  Guess I should have saved just before the end to allow for testing :)  To speed up the start of the game, build two Guppies as soon as you can and land them on the upper-left island to power up the (many many stacked) totems, which lets you max out all your upgrades almost immediately.

Forget the Thor.  Against heavy creeper they're not really that useful.  I used it as a mobile AA base, nothing more.  However, a line of fully upgraded pulse cannons can push any emitter back enough to allow nullifying it.

Overall, not considering the inhibitors you can hit the first two sets of spores before they fire.  You have an absolute ton of aether--but no singularity weapon to use it with.  I ended with half a million, that with the uncapped upgrades set up to 100.  Once I actually connected the totems in the NW I had a white bar clear across my map for the rest of the game.

Mostly it's just a bunch of lag.
