How does one beat any of these maps that simply stun you all the time?  I've never had success against any of them despite supposedly getting directions that don't seem to help one bit.

I tried that on the first such map, I didn't try it here.

It works no better here than on other such maps.  I was able to protect some beams in the core of my base but without the ability to progress that's useless.

I don't have an earlier screen shot, but maybe this will help.
IIRC, you can build your network out of range of the Runners.
