Excellent map!  Well done!  Kept me on my toes pretty much the whole time.  The only thing that I found annoying was the lack of relays.  I fully understand why you don't have them and you made it work well without them, but one way I can imagine making it work a bit better would be to turn one of the bertha techs from the far top on each side into relay tech.  That way, regardless of which side you go up first, the second side would have the advantage of relays to speed it up.
Omnipotence doesn't mean the ability to do what is logically impossible. It's possible, therefore, for God to create beings with the kind of free will that can choose between good and evil, but he can't also force those creatures to choose good. If he forced their choice, it wouldn't be free.

Completely agree with the above.

It was a great map but the entire time I was thinking that it would have been more fun with relays.

I also think if we had been allowed to have terps it would have been nice to be able to terraform the power circles into 5x5 sizes so we could drop berthas onto them. I think I only found one power circle that would fit my berthas. That made the map unnecessarily slow going.

Actually, there are a number of PZ's you can put the berthas in but you have to be willing to make some sacrifices:
Spoiler

The three PZs right next to the Forge can all be used for berthas.  However, that can make it more of a pain to use the forge (not to mention powering the berthas).  What I did was use a collector in the two outer PZs to connect both sides while I was building up.  Once I got my first Bertha I put it in the middle PZ.  As I continued to build up on both sides I had enough energy to not need to connect them.  So I destroyed the collector on the right and then put a 2nd Bertha there.

Once I did that, I slowly continued to make my way up the right hand side.  The emitter in the middle of the right can fit a Bertha but you can't build ore mines there.

I think in the end I had 4 or 5 Berthas total.

That was actually what I really liked about this map.  You had to make choices that would affect your play.
