game won't start

Just installed creeper world 3 on my Asus laptop I have windows 8 64 bit and 770m nadiva graphics card with and Intel i7 processer the game installs fine but when I click my desktop icon to run the game a small window appears for a brief few seconds and then goes away I have tried running it as an admin as well as trying to run the game in different versions of windows anyone have any suggestions

Also, if this is the steam version try disabling the steam overlay.

Are you running this from within the steam client or from a desktop icon/shortcut?  It looks like it can't access most anything (the steam dll, the documents directory for creeperworld3, etc.)

Start the steam client, then remove the game and install it again.  See if that makes any difference.  Also, try to create this dir "C:\Users\Seth\Documents\creeperworld3" and see if you have any trouble creating it.

I'm launching from an icon I reinstalled the game that didn't do anything and I have the files in my documents already didn't do the trick

Take a look at the log file again and look for the error near near the bottom about a directory not being found.  Previously it said;
"System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Directory 'C:\Users\Seth\Documents/creeperworld3' not found. "

See if that is still present.  If so, then look carefully to see if that directory exists.  If the game can't access that dir it won't start and will exit like you see.  That's the directory where all of the game progress is stored.  If the dir does exist, look inside it to see if there are any subdirs or other files created.

I don't know what I did differently but I did another install and that did the trick game works fine now thanks for all the help
