While playing version 2.04, the game becomes unresponsive after I lock the desktop. <win>+<L>

Win 7 64bit
Windowed
in mission / in arc eternal> navox map

Let me know if there any other info that I can provide.   I have kids that I do not want playing with my game file while I walk away and lock works just fine for that purpose, but not if I am not able to resume a in process game.

What exactly happens after you unlock it? Does the game still show up, but nothing happens? Or does it go white and say (Not Responding) at the top?

The animation locks up and is un-responsive.
It does not display the white bar with the (Not Responding)

In all likelihood it will have something to do with the GPU driver.  If you are playing full screen, try playing in a window.  That may not make a difference, but it is worth a shot.  You would also try minimizing the game before locking the system.  In any case, make sure you have the latest GPU drivers installed.

You can also look at the game's log file to get hints as to what might be happening.  See here for the log file location: http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=16476.0

Following his instructions makes it happen for me too (2.04, Windows 7 64 bit and 64 bit game in windowed mode), though for me it's only a graphics freeze- the game's still running. If I click anywhere the game still plays the appropriate sound, it just doesn't update the visuals. Clicking Return to Origin starts playing the main menu music, and a guess-click at the Arc Eternal button brings the warp-in sound and the system view music. I imagine I could start a mission with frozen graphics if I guess where to click correctly.

Doing this in a mission is risky because I have to guess where the exit game button is to let the program close (since I have that option on) or be forced to kill the process.

Minimizing before locking windows only makes the graphics freeze on a black screen. Everything's still working otherwise.

Thank you kwinse for validating my findings. In addition to this bug. I would also like to ask for one more thing:
Go fullscreen on the active monitor, not the primary.
