I use strafers on maps with digitalis as they're the best to kill it if you target the emitters that generate it (if the source is far from a safe place to build my base anyway)

A Strafer on a PZ is especially useful in this situation.

Sure it may take some extra micro-skills to effectively cut off digitalis nearly permanently with Strafers, but it does work well.
