I guess it deserves some prize for "Most symmetrical map." :)

This map obviously made teks happy with the amount of AC that was available. I love AC as an attack resource because it is completely separate from energy, allowing you to squander your AC without destroying your network. I personally loved this map because it forced the player to use guppies to transfer supplies. Having a starting place and forcing yourself to use guppies to transfer supplies/create defenses (like my island map) really gives the map the feel of a massive intricate webbing, instead of a linear blob against the creeper.
I tried making CW3 custom maps once upon a time. I kinda failed. My maps were too large/stupidly long/stupidly easy. I think I only ever made one really good map, and its not for people who hate spores. I mean it'd be good shock therapy xD

well it did the first run i love AC it's true!  ;D
then i realised you can do a sub 7 mins time on this map and just rocked 10 guppies and the singularity, but still 15 secs to slow for first place  ::)

Shouldn't that prize go to stewbasic for his MirrorImage maps? :)

So maybe "symmetry" wasn't wasn't the right word. But the highly geometric, pre-destined layout must have a term?

yes prob, he put a lot more work into them than i did mine i figure, after all he did his own code as far as i know :D

AC? Something tells me I took something out too hastily! :)

He's talking about all the ore mines in the NE.

What's strange is the aether mines in the SW--12 mines around a platform that's exactly the size for a command node--but at least without a lot of upgrades there isn't enough space for the power needed to operate them.  I ended up sending the command node back up and powering them with guppies.

It's also no challenge.  I built power & aircraft, then started Bertha construction and the Thor and began my assault while they were building.  The air suppression just gives you power zones it doesn't actually hinder you.  I put a bunch of guppies on the rectangles and hit the corner of the enemy area with my air force.  They blew a hole, I dropped a command node and started expanding--at this point my Berthas rained fire on the main area of creeper and blew most of it off the map.  I walked around the elevated area only having to clear out the bit of standing creeper as no more was getting up there.  Also, no runner showed itself after my first strike.

Once I had the upper area I directed my strafers to the closest emitter and my bombers to drop in the area behind them.  The second row of emitters went down very quickly and I directed my strafers to the boss, not to mention the Bertha fire that kept raining in.  I was also working in a pool of anticreeper so if any little bit got loose it wasn't a problem.

My Thor was 2/3 armed when the inhibitor went up.

pretty sure i worked out this is a pacifist map.
i used guppies to get aether and the singularity to let a guppy kill the Inhibitor
on my 3rd go i think, 1st go was total Bertha/sprayer/cannon/bomber combined assault, 2nd was singularity and bombers, then shaved another min or so without the AC
i really liked the challenge, but it seems a shame to finish a big map this fast, still great map dude!  8)
